Eileen Scollan

Observer to the Supervisory Board

Eileen Scollan currently works in the Climate Unit, at the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). She covers Oceans and the Sustainable Blue Economy, Climate and Security, Biodiversity and Climate Diplomacy. Eileen’s previous roles in the DFA include Second Secretary at the Irish Embassy in Tanzania, as well managing Ireland’s Humanitarian Aid portfolio in the Middle East.

Before joining the DFA, Eileen worked at the European Parliament in Brussels for five years, and spent a short time at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Eileen studied law at Trinity College Dublin, and has a Master’s Degree in European Studies (External Relations) from KU Leuven, Belgium. She is an avid musician, in traditional Irish music.
